China’s “Printing” Strength Summit Forum And The Founding Conference Of the Printer Industry Branch Of the China Electronics Information Industry Federation Were Held
On November 8-9, the China Printing Strength Summit Forum and the inaugural meeting of the Printer Industry Branch of the China Electronic Information Industry Federation were held in Weihai. Gao Sumei, Vice President and Secretary General of the China Electronic Information Industry Federation, Wang Jianwei, First-level Inspector of the Information Technology Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Zhou Haiyan, Second-level Inspector of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Li Yonghua, Second-level Inspector of the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology attended and delivered speeches. Zhang Hongpu, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor, attended the event, and Mei Yanliang, Secretary of the District Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee, delivered a speech. The guests jointly unveiled the Printer Industry Branch.
The conference was hosted by the China Electronic Information Industry Federation, and undertaken by the Management Committee of Weihai Torch High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Weihai Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and Weihai Electronic Information Technology Comprehensive Research Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Expert speeches, sub-forums and other links were set up to jointly discuss the innovative development of the printer industry.
In his speech, Mei Yanliang said that the printer industry is a pillar industry in the high-tech zone. The global printer base has gathered 6 Fortune 500 companies, 10 complete machine brands, and more than 110 supporting companies. The products cover three categories of laser, inkjet, and thermal. A number of key core components have been localized. From January to September this year, the output of printers reached 12 million units. At present, the high-tech zone is accelerating the gathering of various project resources and innovation resources, and has newly introduced a number of printer companies to promote the upgrading of the printer industry base from processing and manufacturing to R&D and intelligent manufacturing innovation, and accelerate the formation of an industrial cluster with global influence. The Printer Industry Branch will integrate industrial resources, gather industry advantages, promote corporate exchanges and cooperation, accelerate the promotion of results transformation, and fully assist the high-quality development of the printer industry. The High-tech Zone will take the establishment of the branch as an opportunity to gather the joint forces for the development of the printer industry, continue to expand the scale of the industry, and break through innovative intelligent manufacturing technology.
